The most beautiful connection between the German and the Swiss shore of Lake Constance is the ferry that runs between Friedrichshafen and Romanshorn. The 41-minute crossing is always a special experience: Over a cup of coffee or tea in the on-board bistro, the passengers can enjoy the view over the wintry lake. Furthermore, the “floating bridge” saves many kilometres by car around the lake and is therefore the ideal shortcut. Both Friedrichshafen and Romanshorn are the starting points for many tourist destinations. The Zeppelin Museum is located directly adjacent to the harbour in Friedrichshafen. The ferries run 365 days a year at hourly intervals between Romanshorn and Friedrichshafen. The Lake Constance ferry is operated jointly by Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe (BSB) and schweizerische SBS Schifffahrt AG.
